SUMMARY

Foreign Language Role Players will play various positions, and/or groups of people representing possible situations in the execution of training scenarios for units conducting training and will provide essential training experience to Soldiers by realistically, accurately, and convincingly portray HUMINT and CI sources in a variety of role playing scenarios, in diversified settings and environments, such as practical, and situational exercises.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • May be required to follow instructions from designated military personnel in the performance of their assignments
  • Realistically, accurately and convincingly portray HUMINT and CI sources in a variety of role playing scenarios, in diversified settings and environments, such as practical, situational exercises
  • Memorize critical data contained in each role
  • Be sufficiently familiar with each role to portray assigned role(s) with little reliance on, or referral to the role script
  • Convey information and data in response to students' correct and proper interview skills, questioning and/or elicitation techniques, in accordance with Government provided references, procedures and forms
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • No supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a High School diploma
  • Must have 2 years related experience, situational training is preferred
  • Former Military Operational Intelligence occupational specialty 35M (equivalent experience from other branches of service or DoD components will be accepted)
  • Must have been honorably discharged

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Will be subject to a US Federal Government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen
  • Must be fluent in Russian, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish or Farsi
    • Must be able to listen, understand and speak the required foreign language sufficiently to affect the training scenario
    • Must possess the ability to speak in clear, correct, and concise grammar in the required language
    • Must be able to translate oral communication from the target foreign language into Basic English and in reverse as required for the training exercise
  • Must be proficient in the English language, able to communicate effectively with Team Leaders, and capable of following verbal directions in English from the testing lane Military Supervisor without linguist assistance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be in good physical condition as work may require long periods of standing and walking and shall be physically capable of performing their assigned tasks during all weather conditions (snow, sleet, rain, heat, humidity, etc.)
  • Duties are physical in nature and require long periods of standing and walking, and may require kneeling, crawling, or running for short periods of time, must be able to walk distances over uneven terrain.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The performance locations will be located on FH, AZ, Cochise County and portions of Pima County. The performance location may change to other sites on Fort Huachuca due to operational changes or inclement weather.

Work will be conducted outside in all types of weather (e.g., heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.).

Cherokee Federal has suspended it's COVID mandate. However, it's important to note that Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently not subject to enforcement by the Federal government. Therefore, Cherokee Federal has suspended application of the mandate and continues to monitor the government's guidance on administration of any vaccine requirement.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
