Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Sign-on bonus & relocation package eligible

Board (PCB) level design of microprocessor based digital systems. Board level schematic design and layout of the following: ARM processors and microcontrollers, DDR RAM (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4) memory interfaces, and digital interfaces (e.g. I2C, SPI, SDIO). Familiarity with schematic capture and layout tools is required. Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition is highly desired. Analog design, or RF experience is desired, but not required.

  • Schematic and layout design of digital subsystems and components for Software Defined Radios (SDRs)
  • Substantial contribution to the generation and maintenance of electrical work products (i.e. schematic, printed wiring board layouts, specifications, design documentation, etc.) used for internal consumption and/or deliverable to external customers. Develops and presents electrical requirements, concepts, designs, decisions and results to internal management, other organizations, teammates and external customers
  • Active participant in electrical reviews of electrical components, equipment, and systems.
  • Applies a strong understanding of the organizationally defined electrical processes throughout the lifecycle of the program or project.
  • Selects components and equipment based on project requirements.
  • May supervise lower level employees
  • Ability to work on a diverse range of complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity without appreciable direction
  • Comfortable having regular contact with project leaders and Program Managers and Senior Managers including external customers.
  • Modern ARM Processors, e.g. A53, A32, A72, M1, M4, M7

Interfacing to FPGAs, such as Xilinx Ultrascale MPSoC, RFSoC, or Versal.

Target salary range: USD $142,601.00/Yr. - USD $158,198.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
