The Job/What You'll Do:

As the Operations Product Manager, Workflow Automation & Digitization in the Operations & Service organization, you will be an integral member of a team developing industry-leading workflow solutions that provide clients with an easy, real-time straight-through processing experience for account opening and maintenance requests. You will collaborate with cross functional team members including technology, project management, operations managers, designers, and business stakeholders to develop solutions that meet client needs while driving operating scale. You will implement a roadmap to automate workflows and successfully launch digital workflow products and features with a business goal of 75% automated for AssetMark Trust by 2025.

The Product Manager will also act as the Product Owner of an Agile squad collaborating with a Scrum Master, Solutions Architect, technology developers and the Quality Assurance team. You will define, prioritize, and/or execute the MVP of a product or feature that optimizes business requirements, user experience, and technical feasibility to deliver a touchless digital experience for client requests.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Phoenix, AZ or Concord, CA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Owner managing the Product Backlog in support of business priorities
    • Write user stories, features, and epics
    • Participate in Agile team ceremonies and remove blockers related to functional issues, prioritization and clarification of requirements
    • Develop product-related deliverables such as Product Briefs, Business Requirements documents, experience workflows, etc.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Workflow Digitization, create, execute and iterate on a roadmap of digitized products and features from initial concept through launch
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to help manage product integrations/launches/changes throughout the product lifecycle
    • Lead all cross-functional aspects of gathering feedback, executing, and rolling out features related to Operations and Service.
    • Develop training and stakeholder communication materials to support product releases
    • Act as a subject matter expert for all product related inquiries.
    • Ensure user experience delivers the intended value user outcomes and align to the business and stakeholder objectives.
    • Troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner and prioritize resolution appropriately
  • Assess current manual and online workflows with a process re-engineering lens. Challenge the status quo to create an optimal digital and streamlined experience for advisor clients.
  • Create business cases, conduct competitive reviews, define capabilities, and measure post launch success as needed

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of financial services processes and technologies, including domain knowledge and experience developing a variety of financial advisor or consumer facing tools to open and fund accounts, process account maintenance, and support all aspects of an account life cycle.
  • Track record of managing successful projects launches from design to implementation
  • Preferred: Experience with Agile methodologies to prioritize and manage product delivery. Proficient with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Able to think creatively, display intellectual curiosity and master complex subject matter quickly
  • Possess a process improvement /re-engineering mindset
  • Superior critical thinking skills, including the capacity to identify and appropriately assess and order competing interests and priorities
  • Exceptional research, writing, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear, concise and logical manner
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to present complex data / information in format that can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrates confidence and leadership when interacting with others
  • Partners well with colleagues and outside business partners to get work done
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • A positive, team oriented, can-do attitude
  • Must be able to work effectively in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Must be able to work hard, have fun and deliver results!

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years in experience in product management, business analysis or project execution within the Financial Services industry

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $85,000-$100,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
