Job Description

Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking a Replenishment Team Lead for our Dallas, Texas warehouse.

Job Summary:

The primary objective of this position is to provide the tools, directive, and motivation to all positions within the replenishment team, within your respective facility, so that it functions at maximum efficiency.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform replenishments generated for lean-time and waves /batches.
  • Perform system generated re-slot tasks to optimize inventory.
  • Train, re-train, and coach employees as needed that are performing replenishments.
  • Work with those responsible for inventory accuracy and inventory control to help investigate potential issues with replenishments being performed.
  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to identify opportunities to improve workflow and efficiencies.
  • Work with other Team Leads to collectively identify any daily or recurring issues so Team Leads of other areas (receiving, pulling, returns, etc.) can train, re-train, or coach their teams as necessary.
  • Answer questions related to products, policies, and procedures. Assist in the resolution of problems that may arise related to replenishing inventory.
  • Assist co-workers if necessary when caught up with assigned duties, which may include pulling, checking, packing orders, and or cycle counts


Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
  • A minimum of two years experience in a leadership role within a distribution setting is preferred
  • A minimum of two years experience within the veterinary industry is preferred
  • Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified preferred
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Superior listening and verbal communication skills to include the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work accurately with highly detailed information
  • The ability to lead and support positions to assure ultimate performance levels
  • Ability to work well with others and independently
  • Basic computer skills, ability to operate windows-based computer and data entry


Mental & Physical Demands:

  • Able to work fast in high stress situations in order to complete the job on time
  • Regular interaction with people, team-player
  • Potential stress related to typical product shipping and handling problems and resolutions
  • Vision: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Repetitive Motion to include reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, ability to climb ladders/stairs, balance, stand/walk on concrete floor for extended periods, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs, balance, stand/walk on concrete floor for extended periods
  • Regularly lift/move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds

Equipment Used:

Window based computer, tape gun, rf scanner, safety knife, forklift, 2-way radio, safety equipment, markers, and ladders


Work Environment:

Work will typically be performed Monday through Friday. Working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required. Work will be performed indoors in a temperature-controlled climate where moderate heat, cold or humidity may be experienced. Moderate exposure to dust and dirt may also be expected. May require handling of products with cautious warning labels. This is a safety sensitive position.
